Steve Pazol brings 20+ years of operating experience — five company exits, 10+ board of directors, Qualcomm, joint ventures, Formula E, etc— as a thought partner for early-stage technology CEOs navigating growth, team challenges, and investor dynamics.
See his Behind the Highlight Reel interview below to get a feel.
Steve works with a select number of CEOs at any time. These are their words.
“Your insights were like an oasis for a man stuck in a desert. It was invaluable to speak with someone who understood both deep tech IP and the dynamics of venture investors on the cap table.”
"Most importantly, Steve brought a level of trust, judgment, and integrity that made difficult decisions clearer and high-pressure moments manageable. His perspective helped me think bigger, act faster, and execute with discipline."
"Unfortunately, probably fear was a pretty big driving factor, especially early on... One of the bigger things as an entrepreneur that a lot of people who haven't done it and haven't really taken significant financial risk, don't understand is the fear—the fear of failure."

Intellectual property is among the most strategically valuable — and most misunderstood — assets a technology company owns. Steve bridges the gap between IP counsel and executive leadership, bringing a rare combination of operating experience and deep IP expertise to help companies protect, monetize, and leverage what they've built.
He works directly with management teams and their attorneys across a range of engagements: license negotiations, patent strategy, internal IP process development, due diligence, litigation support, and budget prioritization. The result is a perspective that is both legally informed and grounded in business reality.
“Steve was highly impactful in building a strategic patent portfolio for TearClear and closing an important license deal. His value went beyond anything we had imagined,” Rick Heinick, Founder and Executive Chairman, TearClear

Steve has been involved with Formula E — the world's most sustainable motorsport — since its inception, serving as a board member for over 12 years. He led Qualcomm's motorsport sponsorships and its strategic investment into both Formula E and the Mercedes AMG Formula 1 team for six years.
Steve also advises the Hurricane Group, organizer of the FISE World Series, which brings together elite athletes across BMX Freestyle, Skateboard, Mountain Bike, Parkour, and more.
Through these engagements, Steve brings firsthand insight into aligning business objectives with sponsorship strategy and brand activation.

Steve has a long history of backing early-stage founders — both as an advisor and as an investor. He is drawn to companies in deep tech, IoT, and sustainable mobility where his operating experience can add real value beyond the check. Steve works closely with the founders he backs, bringing pattern recognition from five company exits and decades of building in complex, fast-moving markets.
If you're building something ambitious, he's worth a conversation.

Steve has spent 20+ years building, scaling, and exiting technology companies — which means he has sat exactly where you are. He understands the pressure of the board, the weight of hiring decisions, and what it actually takes to move from early traction to a scalable company.
His coaching combines operational depth with the "head and heart" of leadership — helping CEOs gain clarity on their biggest challenges, make better decisions under pressure, and build the kind of company and culture they actually want to lead.
Steve has a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Steve likes to fish, be on the water, travel to beautiful locations, motorsport events, any University of Michigan sporting event, and fish. And he loves his family of course.
